Investigators were on the scene of a shooting at the Crowley Maritime Association's terminal on Talleyrand Av. Friday morning after employee Floacia "Lisa" Brookins, 46 was shot in the parking lot of the port facility around 6 am. At the time Brookins' boyfriend James Lawson Williams III was a suspect in the shooting and was still at large. A short time later he was cornered in their rental home in the Oak Brook neighborhood of Armsdale Rd. on Jacksonville's Northside. After a several hour standoff and communications with JSO negotiators and members of his family, Williams was found dead in the home with a single bullet wound to the head.
