Animal shelter seeking food to battle shortage
By My Clay Sun
Aug 23, 2008

The Safe Animal Shelter, a no-kill facility for dogs and cats, is experiencing a continued food shortage and is asking the community for its help.

Needed items include: Purina Kitten Chow; Purina Cat Chow (Complete Formula); Purina Puppy Chow; and Purina Dog Chow. Since changing food brands often causes stomach upset, the shelter requests that food donations be consistent with the above brands if at all possible. Canned foods to mix with the dry food, as well as kitty litter, are also appreciated.

Donations may be dropped off at the shelter west of County Road 220 and Knight Boxx Road in Middleburg. For more information, contact Nancy Ryan at 655-9062.
