Area's Boys and Girls Clubs accepting enrollment now

Boys & Girls Clubs of NortheastFloridaareaccepting applicationsforenrollment inafter-schoolenrichment programs, scheduled to begin Monday.

Known as "The Positive Place for Kids," the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida provide character development programs for youths ages 6-18 in several areas: character and leadership,educationand careers, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation, according to a news release.

In addition to neighborhood units in Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, Boys & Girls Clubs services have three TeamUp sites, available on campus to students who attend John Love, S.A. Hull and West Jacksonville elementary schools.

Boys & Girls Clubs neighborhood units are open from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and TeamUp locations are open from 3 to 6 p.m.

Annual membership is $10 per student.

Some clubs offer van pickup services; check with individual clubs for details.
